You know that feeling that brews in the bottom of your stomach that tells you something is wrong?

Trust it. Live it. Learn to love it. It helps you. If you’re smart enough to use it to escape a bad situation before it hits, more power to you. Listen to this feeling, do not ignore it. It will leave you lonely, and battered, and bruised for a little while without apologizing. It will leave you feeling the worst that you have felt in a long, long time.

This is instinct. This is living. Don’t overlook it, this will lead to disastrous consequence.

It will teach you when, where, who, and how to trust. It will teach you that naivety is dangerous. You must remain on your toes. You must know how to determine when to walk away.

It’ll hurt. Oh yes, it will.

And when you’re alone in the middle of the night and you feel the slow, steady ache of disappointment and anger, let yourself feel it. It’ll quiet down after time passes.

This feeling will want to save you at the end of the day. Let it.

THANK GOD my instincts are still right on.

I’m immediately weary of the people whom everyone loves without actually knowing them.
